InsiderPing is a Chrome extension that notifies you when a company insider files an open-market stock purchase (SEC Form 4) for a ticker on your watchlist. This policy states plainly what data moves where, including for the paid (Pro) upgrade — we do not split that disclosure across sections.
We do not collect your name, browsing history, or the tickers on your watchlist — those stay in your browser. We do not run analytics or trackers, and we do not read the content of pages you visit.
If you buy Pro, the following happens, and it does involve identifiers leaving your device:
storage API. They are not sent to InsiderPing's server or to Stripe.sec.gov, data.sec.gov, efts.sec.gov) — reads public Form 4 filing data.
These are public U.S. government endpoints; nothing about you is sent beyond a
standard web request.insiderping-api.rdx6822kfk.workers.dev) — checks
whether your token is marked Pro. Sends only the token, on the schedule described in
the extension.We do not use analytics or trackers, do not run remote code inside the extension, do not read the content of the web pages you visit, and do not sell any data. We do not have access to your Stripe payment details.
Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks access permanently. To honor that, we keep your purchase and entitlement records for as long as the purchase is honored. That means, specifically: the link between your device token and your entitlement, your recovery key, and the payment reference we use to handle refunds and disputes. For a permanent unlock, this has no fixed end date, because the record is the proof the unlock is still valid.
We do not keep more than that purpose requires. These records hold no name, email, address, or browsing data, and we do not use them for anything other than confirming your Pro status and handling refunds or disputes tied to your purchase.
One category is not kept indefinitely: records we generate only to detect a duplicate payment notification from Stripe are deleted automatically after 30 days.
You can ask us to delete your purchase and entitlement records at any time. See "Deleting your data" below for exactly what that does, including what it ends.
Removing the extension deletes your locally stored watchlist and alert history and the device token described above. To ask us to delete the entitlement record tied to your token, contact us using the email below with your token or receipt so we can locate the record — we cannot locate it by name or email alone if we do not store one.
Deleting your entitlement record ends Pro immediately, on every device, because that record is the only proof your purchase is active. This cannot be undone, and your recovery key stops working afterward, because the key only ever pointed at that record. Deleting the record is not a refund. Refunds are handled separately, through Stripe or by contacting us within any refund window we state at checkout.
